Simply attached an optical pick-up on the outside of your "under-glass" power meter and it transmits energy use back to the in-home display unit.
The display shows you energy use in real time in kW and in dollars. By programming the display unit with your electric utility rate, it shows you how much the electricity you are using is costing. It also displays outside temperature!
